Who We Are
We here at Valley Brook Farm have been involved in agriculture most of our lives in one aspect or another. My husband has been in the dairy industry over 30 years and my background is mostly equine. However we have come together to make a great little farm that has a lot of aspects to it. This has provided the best of both worlds for our daughter Jessie. She has a well rounded background in almost all kinds of livestock.
When our daughter was very small we had horses and had gotten into goats for our daughter as it was easier for her to handle. Through the years we have changed and evolved to where we are now.
We are a small family farm located in Northern Vermont. We raise Registered Tunis Sheep & Registered Oberhasli Goats. Our farm does have other long term residents. We have two Shetland Show ponies left over from our horse showing days.
We use the milk and wool from our animals to make handcrafted items. We also offer rugs made from sheep skin. We use our sheeps' wool for wool felting various products. We do raise market lambs and kids each year.As the years progress we try to expand in these areas.
We are very much in support of programs such as 4-H and FFA. Our daughter is heavily involved in each of these groups and we do all we can to support the youth who are involved. We very much believe in these programs and what they have to offer Americas youth.

2 years ago my husband was injured on the job. He was kicked by a cow which resulted in a Traumatic Brain Injury. This left him unable to work, and myself unable to work as he now requires 24/7 care. Our farm here helps us get through and provides a much needed therapy for all who live here. There is nothing more therapeutic than the love of animals.
We now offer naturally raised grass fed lamb. Our lambs are not feedlot lambs they are grass fed and raised naturally. They are not confined, they have pastures and paddocks so they can come and go as they please. They have free range to be inside or out is always their choice they are well cared for, receiving proper hoof care, and they are handled and cared for by a great group of 4-H kids!
Look around our website and if you have any comments or questions, please feel free to contact us. We hope to see you again! Check back later for new updates to our website. There’s much more to come!
Why Us?
What sets us apart from other farms is that, it isn't always about the bottom line here. We do what we do not because we are going to get rich, but because we absolutely love what we do. We try to make our animals support themselves through selling of products or livestock sales. Our animals come first and foremost here, and it will always be that way. We are known to take in animals that need us. Even though its not a financially sound decision, we do it because we care.
